BRAND BIO
Jil Sander established her namesake label in 1968, following a brief stint as a fashion magazine writer. Best known and loved for its clean, minimalist aesthetic, it wasn’t until 1989 that the brand picked up pace on the sartorial circuit. Sander herself has commandeered the brand at various intervals, but, as of 2017, the chief creative direction was turned over to husband-and-wife duo Luke and Lucie Meier. Expect an evolution of the German label’s modern yet pared-back aesthetic, embodied through striking silhouettes, luxurious fabrics and a calm, considered colour palette.
